Parent-Child Communication
Educational opportunities are also provided for parents to address the “disconnect” between parent/teen perceptions and encourage dialogue between parents and teens. Adults are encouraged to approach young people with a mindset of acceptance and understanding, with the goal of supporting their development into positive, productive, contributing members of the community.
Program Goals
Loving, caring adults learn skills to talk with youth about sex and contraception (if their belief system), in particular, communicate disapproval of negative behaviors.
